Last night in Beginning French 1 we had a whole class of café conversation. No English allowed for the duration of class. Our group lasted the full 2 hours, only asking how to say “English word.” We discussed everything from home life to politics. It was really interesting to try and think on my feet in French. Sometimes people would slip in a Spanish word here or there.
I really enjoy learning other languages. Finding similarities among Spanish, Italian and French is fun, as is finding the many differences. I have trouble with some of the French phonemes, despite never really having encountered this with the other two languages.
